Sharing Food Stories Series 1: Food, Stories, and Community
📚 Grades 2–6 | Language Arts • Health & Wellness • Social Studies
Help your students explore what it means to belong and how food, storytelling, and kindness can bring a community together.
This first series in the Sharing Food Stories program uses the classic folktale Stone Soup to open conversations about respect, inclusion, and shared values. Students will compare stories, reflect on their classroom culture, and co-create a “community soup” that celebrates the feelings and actions that help us all feel welcome.
Built for Grades 2–6 and aligned with curriculum, these lessons help students:
- Build respectful communication and listening skills
- Practise critical thinking skills
- Celebrate kindness, collaboration, and classroom community
