DIY Meals and Snacks is a ✨free✨, ready-to-use program designed for junior high and middle years foods teachers. Students learn how to plan, prepare, and enjoy balanced meals and snacks that follow Canada’s Food Guide, while building confidence in key skills like cooking, budgeting, and decision-making.
Through four engaging lessons – featuring tested recipes and chef-led cooking videos – students explore meal planning, food variety, and the factors that influence food choices.
Each lesson builds important skills:

🥄 LESSON 3: Factors That Affect Food Choices
Students examine how various personal needs and available resources influence their food choices.
🥄 LESSON 4: Signature Dish
