Sharing Food Stories Series 2: Student Activities
📚 Grades 2–3 | Language Arts • Health & Wellness • Social Studies • Science
🧾 This printable PDF includes three engaging, classroom-ready lessons that explore how food is grown, produced, and enjoyed in Canada.
Students will join Sam, the curious cook, to learn from friends who share their unique food stories. Through storytelling, videos, and activities, students discover the origins of strawberries, milk, and wheat while reflecting on the role food plays in their own lives.
Hands-on experiences, guided discussions, and simple games help students build knowledge about plant growth, farming, and food traditions. Extension cooking activities provide optional opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world food experiences.
