🎥 Explore gardening, connection to Land, and Métis teachings with Ruby’s Food Story.
In this short video, Métis artist and storyteller Ruby Bruce shares how her family grows and uses plants for food and ceremony. Students learn about gardening, traditional teachings such as tobacco offerings, and how caring for the Land can be an act of respect and reciprocity.
This video can be used on its own or paired with the Sharing Food Stories Series 3: Indigenous Food Stories student activities, which include creative art and food-based extensions like making tissue paper collages or homemade jam.
